What do I need to send before check-in?
Yes. Japanese law requires us to register every guest before check-in. Please register everyone in your group with the short online form. The link is in your booking confirmation message. - Living outside Japan: upload a photo of your passport photo page. - Living in Japan: no passport needed, just enter your address in Japan. You can register some guests now and add the others later with the same link. If you've already sent passport photos in the booking chat, fill in either the online form or the guest register card next to the TV. One or the other is enough.

How do I extend my stay, change dates or change the number of guests?
Send a change request in your booking app (look for 'Change reservation'). If the dates are free, we'll approve it. The guest count on your booking must match everyone who is actually staying. Only registered guests may stay or come inside. To cancel, use your booking platform. Its cancellation policy applies.
What is the layout, and how many beds are there?
You'll have a whole private 3-storey house (about 60 m²) to yourselves. It's a house, so there's no room number. The entrance is on the 1st floor. • 1st floor: living and dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and a separate toilet room (this is what '1.5 baths' means) • 2nd floor: two bedrooms with double beds • 3rd floor: a tatami room with futons The bathroom and toilet are only on the 1st floor. The stairs are steep, as in many traditional Kyoto houses, so please take care.
Can I ship luggage to the house before I arrive?
Yes, but nobody is at the house to receive it for you. Choose a delivery time after you have checked in and receive it yourself. You can also send it to the nearest Kuroneko Yamato delivery centre and pick it up there.
Do I need to pay the Kyoto accommodation tax at the house?
If you booked on Airbnb, the Kyoto accommodation tax is already included in your booking, so there's nothing to pay on arrival.
